Betty Boothroyd becomes Patron of First Women...

The ‘First Women’ project is going from strength to strength and Creative Director, Anita Corbin is delighted that the Right Honourable Baroness Betty Boothroyd has agreed to be patron of ‘First Women’. Qballyhoo’s Drew Llewellyn has been part of the First Women team from the early stages of development, alongside A Head for PR’s Jane Adkins, and Rachel Sweet from Sweet Skills; all supporting Anita to develop her concept.
This unique photographic project has come along way since Anita thought of the idea and is an excellent example of how women can work together to produce great results. ‘First Women’ is being created to inspire women throughout the UK via a series of portraits, documentary photographs and archive materials. It will pose the question, ‘how will women be remembered over the past 100 years and what have they achieved in the fields of sport, science, politics, the arts and education?’
Over the coming months, Anita will be giving women an opportunity to share their inspirations and words of wisdom via events and social networking sites. If you want to know more details or would like to be involved, visit www.1stwomenuk.co.uk for more information and contact details.
