Case Study: NHS Contraception & Sexual Health, Dorset

What they wanted:

Promotion materials to help drive traffic c to the microsite www.keeplovesweet.co.uk to promote Chlamydia awareness amongst young
adults in Dorset.

What we did:

1. we identified key market statements and campaign messages
2. we developed brand identities to target both male and female markets
3. we researched ambient resources to use at events to attract the target market
4. we developed posters and flyers that dealt with the campaign messages in a sensitive manner so that they could still be used for a young audience
5. we developed an advertising campaign where results could be measured

Case Study: Engineering Company, JSJ Solutions Ltd

What they wanted:

JSJ Solutions wanted to win more business via the web, which meant they needed to update their existing website and attract more custom, specifically focusing on their core products.

The old site had images but hardly any targeted content and was really only being used as a static brochure – just to say they had a site.

What we did:

1. Asked them key questions about their industry and listened to what products they wanted to sell the most so that we could focus their keywords and phrases on them.
2. Obtained a good understanding of how their competitors worked and what they were doing.
3. Worked successfully with their existing web team to bring the project together, suggesting ways that the web team could provide more widgets and function on the site.
4. Researched and wrote content that pulled all the keywords together and made the site more relevant to the customer.
5. Researched and provided more stylised but relevant images so that the site looked professional. Where possible we used their existing images, optimised them and resized them so that they would download at a better speed.
6. Talked to the client about the project without using techie jargon and blinding them with science – and we learnt a lot about stainless steel fabricating too!

Case Study: Local Restaurant, Taste*

What they wanted:

Taste* Restaurant in Dorchester had an existing content-managed website that already had the correct look and feel for the restaurant but was not coming up in Google as the site had not been optimised. Also different people had updated the site, so images were not in standard places and the text was in different fonts.

Taste* needed a spring-clean of the website and training to ensure that the site was Search Engine Optimised and would be used correctly in the future.

What we did:

1. Researched the local Restaurant market and looked benchmarked where Taste* was in the organic Google rankings
2. Ran a wordtracker software program to find out what real people were typing into Google to find restaurants in the area.
3. Worked with the incumbent web team to find out how to best use all the functions on the site.
4. Bought stock images for some of the pages that needed them to give a very professional look and feel to the site.
5. Went through the site and standardised the layout and the fonts etc.
6. Provided training on updating the site and on how to optimise it so that customers could find them when they were looking at eating out in Dorchester.
7. Gave training on adding them to a Google map so that the restaurant’s directions came up when customers were searching.
